I'm beginning to do almost all of my image adjustments in the separate CMYK channels before converting back to RGB to sRGB. I treat every work I do as if it's eventually going to print even if I don't intend/need to. I definitely enjoy working in channels - so much better output too. Though I've got a lot to learn about prepress still.
